be sure that you are getting the right amount of sleep at night, and that it's quality sleep. If you are tossing and turning or getting interrupted sleep you need to find the cause of it. Possibly look into a new pillow or bed if possible to help with that.
Also Ginseng is a wonderful herb for waking up without the effects that caffeine can cause.
Make sure you are drinking the right amount of water, as it plays a vital part in keeping your entire body running correctly.
Also, be sure that you are exorcising. If you are starting to yawn around 6 each evening, see if it's possible to start a small routine before then, possibly around 4 or 5. This will get your blood flowing again, which will allow the blood flow to bring more oxygen to the brain and prevent the yawning episodes you are experiencing. It doesn't have to be much, maybe a walk around the block, just something simple for about ten minutes or so to get the blood pumping.
Avoid too much sugar or carbs (which turn into sugar) during your evening meal as they could be contributing to a "sugar crash". Try to focus your late meal around veggies to give your body an extra boost of vitamins and minerals.

Hope this helps.

Do you have gas heat in your home? Does it come on about this time every day? Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your home? If not, get one to determine if you have a carbon monoxide leak in your home. This odorless, colorless gas can kill you very quickly. Physical symptoms often are displayed as a cherry red color appearing on the face, neck, and arms. This is my first thought. Otherwise, check with a physician and ask him/her to also reevaluate any prescriptions you may be taking, i.e., blood pressure meds, depression meds, thyroid meds, etc.

Good luck!
