What is the Aura ?
Everything in the Universe seems to be just a vibration. Every atom, every part of an atom, every electron, every elementary “particle”, even our thoughts and consciousness are just vibrations. Hence, we may define the Aura as a electro-photonic vibration response of an object to some external excitation (such as an ambient light for example). This definition is sufficient for the purpose of reading Auras, providing that we can train ourselves to see the Aura vibration.

The most important property of the Aura seems to be the fact that it contains INFORMATION about the object.

Aura around living (conscious) objects (people, plants ...) changes with time, sometimes very quickly. Aura around non-living object (stones, crystals, water...) is essentially fixed, but can be changed by our conscious intent. Above facts have been observed by scientists in Russia, who have been using Kirlian effect to study Auras for the last 50 years.

The Aura around humans is partly composed from EM (electromagnetic) radiation, spanning from microwave, infrared (IR) to UV light. The low frequency microwave and infrared part of the spectrum (body heat) seems to be related to the low levels of the functioning of our body (DNA structure, metabolism, circulation etc.) whereas high frequency (UV part) is more related to our conscious activity such as thinking, creativity, intentions, sense of humor and emotions. Russian scientists, who seem to be about 3 decades ahead of everyone else in Aura research, make experiments suggesting that our DNA can be altered, by influencing its microwave Aura. The high frequency UV part is very important and most interesting but largely unexplored. And this part can be seen with naked eyes.

Yes we do...

Everything has an aura...every last particle on earth. Your keyboard has an aura..your mouse has an aura....you have an aura...your car has an aura.

Scientifically, an aura is the electricity surrounding an object, particle, or atom. If you are spiritually advanced, you can see an aura. Other people are born with the ability to see auras.

Spiritually, the aura a person or living being (rather than a nonliving thing, which has a grey or plain aura) has surrounding them says a lot about themself as a person. Different colored auras respresent different things. For example, a person with a red aura is significantly different than a person with a blue aura. People's auras change throughout their life as their moods and feeling change. When someone is happy, their aura is a different color than when they are depressed. A black aura is a rare thing. Some people are scared of black auras, and they think it means the person is evil. Not necessarily, depending on your beliefs. Usually it could mean a great change is about to occur, or that you are very sick. A white aura on the other hand usually occurs when a person is near death, and pure. Also when a baby is being born, the aura is usally white, and then once it is born it changes usually to a bright color.

Another aspect of auras is that around the entire person, the colors may vary, sometimes slightly, other times heavily. Your head may have a pink or orange aura, but your torso may be green. Also, if you have pain or illness, the aura is usually more dull around that area. The brighter the aura, the healthier and happier the person is. A duller aura is often more negative.

I am a Christian, and I don't really practice stuff like seeing auras, the astro world, and magic like Santeria. But my mom does... She is an astrologer and a spiritual guide. I have learned a ton from her, she's such an interesting person. And I do beleive in so much of the stuff she says, although i don't practice it. I strongly beleive that you can practice any religion and still understand that there is more to life than the physical world surrounding us.

Anyway...my mom trained me to be able to see auras slightly. Almost anyone can see as long as they aren't completely close-minded. Some people can see auras better than others...

But look at a friend or other person (a human works best because they can be told what to do, and stay still) but you could try an animan if noone is around. Or even yourself if you have a mirror, although that is not the best way to see one if you've never seen one before.

Ok so find your target, and put them against a white wall or background. Make sure there is ample lighting in the room...

Now stare "through" them. Rather than looking directly at them, let yourself zone out....pretend you can see right through them and concentrate on the wall behind them. After you are completely relaxed and seeing "through" the person, not looking AT them, you should see a faint color surrounding their body. Keep looking through them, otherwise you will lose what you see. It may get stronger as you continue to gaze through your subject. You may even barely see the aura, and it may look mroe like the way heat looks rising from a paved road on a hot day. But if you do it right, and have the ability to see auras better than others, you could see a distinct color surrounding the person, or different colors if you are spiritually advanced. That is the aura.

Yes, we do. The aura is an energy field produced by living things. We're all energy related.

I was able to train myself to see the aura, but some people are born with the natural ability to see it.

Yes, and it's not necessarily "spiritual" or a scientific phenomenon.
We all know people who "light up a room" - everyone is glad to see them come in. They have "something" that makes people feel good - a natural warmth. They care about people, and we all respond to that "aura."

It's flattering, my dear, that you should think I'm a saint with a golden diadem about my head, and a heavenly aura about my person. But no, it must be the moonlight.

All living beings have an electromagnetic field around their bodies. It's a question of spiritual inquiry whether or not the human eye can discern them.
