My landlord installed carpet on our outdoor porch. It's the kind with the smallest type of brisles. We have a white dog who is shedding a lot and the carpet is full of hair that we cannot remove by simply vacuming. Is there a way to remove pet hair from carpet? Do you know of any powders or carpet sprays that will work? Thanks!

I use a damp microfiber dish towel and wipe it across the carpet. It picks up all my cats hair.

This may sound like a joke but I'm being serious! Remove the carpet and change it to something suitable. You are always going to get problems with the one you've described. I'm sure the landlord won't mind since you're replacing it. You're not throwing the old one out. You can say that your redistributing it. If he says no, make him feel awful. Start crying. He'll then probably say: "Oh for f*ck's sake! Okay then!" Then you have solved your problem and you can skip back into the house singing christmas songs. Good luck my friend - have faith!

You could try raking the carpet with one of those metal bristle dog brushes, just don't rake too hard or you might unravel the pile of the carpet. I have Chow Chows and it works great for that kind of hair. I also use rubber gloves; and with my hands flat, make a circular motion on the carpet, that collects quite a bit of hair as well.

Brush your dog with a good (not cheap) dog brush. As for the carpet what I do I take masking tape tape the whole carpet rub in and pull off it works lik a bomb but it's allot of work

Try using a pet brush wit the tight bristles. Brush it up...when u start brushing the bristles from the carpet and the bristles from the brush will lock together an snatch up the hair..i have had the same problem haha

I found this carpet powder/ deoderizer at Wal mart in the pet section that creates a static bond with the hair and lets you vacuum it up

try a mop dipped in water. takes awhile to get it all...or use tape on a board, get a tape clothes roller..I have the same problem. Usually the vac does the trick but allot of time I use one of the above mentioned things..Good Luck nice dog! lol

a simple and inexpensive way that might be a bit of work is to stick tape on the carpet and remove it, it will come off with everything that;s stuck on ur carpet

I put on a pair of rubber gloves like you use for dishes and rub along to the edge.I find it works quite well on couches and pillows too.
