Renting an RV on a budget with three kids?

I'd like to rent an RV for an upcoming weekend. I have heard of many people with families doing this but was was a bit shocked at the prices I could find. Like anything on the Internet, it's like trying to drink from a firehose. Anyone out there with experience or suggestions? I'd like something easy to maneuver, sleeps five, is warm, and under $300.00 per day. Thanks for reading...

i did some research on this myself at one point and was also surprised at the prices. i ended up not doing it for that reason.
