University of Phoenix is only the top rated university in terms of advertising. At this point online universities are still undergoing a great deal of development and so I suspect any ranking of them will be suspect. In looking for an online degree I would certainly encourage you to make sure that you get a diploma and transcript that does not indicate the degree was online.

Asking for the top rated on-line college is like asking what fast food chain has the most nutritious French Fries.

There may be an on-line college where you can learn something. But you will not be able to get a good job when you are done, because no one will take your degree seriously. Most employers won't even bother talking to someone with an on-line degree.

Go to a real college.
