My tank is 25 gallons, I bought 10 all have little part of fin missing with a big white grayish dot on it, what is that? Will it affect my other fish already in my tank? I have 2 in 25 gallon along with 3 koi and 2 ryukin. Rest in 15 gallon tank, should i take those comets out?

Okay a koi is going to be too big for the tank as it grows and as for your question- a comet fish comes in those colors but another fish may have hit and bit him also causing that! Esp. if you you put him into the tank without a bubble bag- ( the bag that they send him home in) that helps the others get used to them!

Woah. That is too many fish for such a small tank!
Comets are BIG goldfish, growing to 12-14"! You can only keep these fish in a POND, or a very large tank (ie 200 gallons). You cannot keep them in a 25 gallon tank.
Koi have a potential size of THREE FEET, and 1.5 to 2 feet is quite common. They also need to be kept in ponds.
Please, if you care for your fish, bring them all back to the petstore. You could, though, keep the Ryukin in the 25 gallon tank - it's a tight squeeze but if you do weekly water changes, don't have too many decorations, and have an air pump, it would be okay,
The others will die in the tanks they are in. If nothing else, it's a big waste of money, and you will soon have gross dirty water - goldfish are big waste producers. They are quite literally poop machines! They churn out toxic ammonia and nitrites that a tank that small can just not deal with.

So, bring all the fish back to your petstore. They do not sound healthy anyway and you don't want to keep them with your healthy Ryukins. Keep the Ryukin in the 25 gallon tank. In your 15 gal, you should keep community fish like tetras. Or red platies - they look like goldfish but are small (and easy to breed)

ich is a paracite, not a fungus. it could be several things ranging from physical damage to fungal infections. when fins break and repair, they look like they have a white bump. However, it sounds to be like a fungus or fin and tail rot. Call PetSmart. Talk to the Pet Care Manager. If he/she is not there, talk to the MOD. Ask to return the fish. There is no refund at PetSmart on comets, but if you ask, then they should take them back.

If they are infected, then yes, your fish may very well become infected too. Besides that, you have too many fish in your tank right now as it is, and it would be best to ask to return the fish for that reason alone.

Sorry!

I work at Petsmart. You should probably take that fish out of the tank and bring it back to the Petsmart that you bought it at with a water sample and your reciept. They should be able to help you better from there.

Look at these photos:

Could it be parasites?

Anchor worms?

Fin rot?

Neon Tetra Disease?

Hope one of those photos helps. If not, there are lots of fish disease websites on the net. Do searches. I hope your fish has something treatable.

By the way, your fish are VERY overcrowded in that tank. Goldfish shouldn't be stocked by any of those 1" per gallon rules. They produce lots of waste very quickly and HAVE to be stocked sparingly or you're pretty much guaranteed poor water quality and sick fish.

Any of the diseases your fish might have are in heaven in a tank with poor water quality.
