My games won't open right, why?

Whenever i try to open my games (half life 2, Call of duty 2, BF 2142) It won't open but then i try something like Insaniquarium or heavy weapon and it opens in a seperate window not like the normal game where it takes u the whole screen can you please help me out and fix this so i can play half life 2 again?

i was playing Half life 2 when i accidentally pressed like F9 Or F10 and I hasd to restart my computer but now they wont open can u please help fix this?
