Yes and no!

It is great to get to see every one and visit and share gifts but at the same time I miss mostly my dad who died in 1998 of cancer.

I get kinda blue at family gatherings where he was always there and now there is an empty place at the table and in my heart.

I try not to be sad but sometimes it gets to be too much.

He is safe and saved so I guess I should be rejoicing.

John 3:16

God Bless, have a nice evening.

It's okay it's just the actual holiday that sucks. Being forced to sit around doing nothing but making forced small talk with relatives ::shivers:: I'll take shopping in crowded stores anyday.

for about 6 hours a year. Weird but Christmas Eve from 6-12 is the most christmasy I get all year. then I revert back to normal. Maybe it's God's way of telling me that I have a little bit of good in me, that I need to hold on to. Or maybe the chemical inbalance in my body just fluctuates to a pattern

Nope. My ex dumped on me about this time two years ago. Didn't mind the breakup, had fallen out of love with her, but it sucked catching her in flagrante delicto!

But to be fair, I've never much cared for Christmastime.

The snow, the thrill, the cold air, the lights, the feeling of joy, relaxation, hopefullness, fun, presents, food, decorated trees, stockings, cookies; what's not to like?

Yes. It means that I do not have to go to school. Though there are still assignments, at least I don't have to wake up so early. Futhermore, I can go out with my friends!! Shopping!!
