In my opinion you should get him a new game system! He would love it!

If he likes video games, I would buy him a cool game to go with whatever system he has. If he likes sports, you could get him Madden '07.

Depending on how much you want to spend, a great gift for a kid is a remote controlled car or truck. I'm thinking of the gas powered or electric ones, not the cheapies at the regular stores. You could find a really cool nitro powered or electric car at a hobby shop, they usually start at 150 or so, but they can build onto them and they go really fast! They aren't like the kids rc toys, they really move! Plus, if you buy a base model, he can customize it too!

Nintendo DS or a Wii system...but good luck on finding that!

I got my 12 year old son a student guitar and lesson book. He is actually quite gifted in the musical abilities, so I have no doubt he will love it. However, it could be a nice gift for your 11 year old boy.

Does he have friends to play with? If so my son is 11 and has all of the technology stuff. he wants games. If he has friends over he prefers to play lazer tag with his gun set. Most kids at that age love to have someone to spend time with. Take him to Medieval Times Dinner Theatre and then to the aquarium or some fun place near where you live. Do an ultimate makeover on his room with murals and the whole works so he can show it off to his buddies.

Cell phones are a good gift as long as he is able to keep the min down, Not only do kids think they are cool, but for safety reason they are a sound investment too, Some have Gps where you can locate them anywhere, Cingular let's you add a line for 10 buck a month.

Nintendo DS Lite and a couple games. It depends on what he is into, but New Super Mario Bros. is a safe bet for anyone.
Good luck!
