the macbook comes stock 1GB and 120GB hardrive, i have a large music collection and a average amount of photos. i am wondering if i should get the 1GB and 120 hard drive (stock) or the 2GB with the 160 hardrive, or just the 2GB hardive?

Like the other's say, get the one you can afford. If I was getting one, I would get the one with 160 GB drive and upgrade the RAM myself. It would be cheaper than letting Apple upgrade it.

Congratulation on getting your new MacBook. Good choice. If I were you, I would get the most that you can possibly afford, and enjoy the benefits. If you can't afford to get the fastest, most RAM and the largest hard drive, those are things that you can upgrade later as you can afford it.

2 GB would be RAM, not HD. Get whatever you can afford, unless you have a particular need for disk-intensive or RAM-intensive apps.

go for the best if you have the money 2 gig is small 120 gig is the best bet

are you geting the windows / mac version also
