For people who have a company come and mow their lawns, when do you schedule the service for the next year? If you could tell me the month or range of weeks where you try to schedule your lawn guy for next year this would be very helpful. If you could also include where in the country you live that would be great too. Thanks!! (I am trying to find out when I should be talking to potential customers, because I am starting a new lawn care buisness)

Thanks Again!!!!

Start now before the lawn mowers go on sale in the spring. You can make some pretty good money if you work hard and do a good job. Good luck!!

Didn't you ask a question like this before or am I confused with someone else? Anyway, I wanted to know who my customers were before Jan, so I knew how much I would need to advertise or if I should pursue a large account that maybe I already drive by. Also, it helped with knowing where you stood with your current customers (if they are happy or if they are shopping around for another service). I provided snow removal- that helped "lock-in" quite a few customers for the next season. When I started my service I would drive through a neighborhood and could tell who needed a service and who didn't, as it turned out, word of mouth spread thru friends/neighbors and I stayed busy enough by myself that I didn't get a chance to mail out the advertising that I had put so many hours into. It won't hurt now to start getting some potential customers lined up for the spring- word to the wise...I personally wouldn't try to get aggressive with a potential customer if they have an existing service or you WILL get a bad reputation amongst your peers (but IF the customer calls you because they aren't satisfied with their current service--they are fair game!)

Be patient, it will all work out in the end!!!
