The sum of two numbers is what you get when you add them together. So, like, the sum of 4 and 5 is 4+5 or 9.

The sum of a math problem only refers to a addition problem. The sum is a answer to an addition problem.
Example: 3+5=8 and therefore the SUM of the math problem is 8.
Hope this helps.

You have to convert the information to simultaneous equations. Let x and y be the numbers x + y = 15 ie sum of 2 numbers x + 2y = -1 Subtracting the two equations to eliminate x y = -1-15 = -16 Substituting y = -16 in the first equation, gives x = 31 The numbers are 31 and -16 The only thing that would have screwed us over in this problem is if y turned out to be greater than x, because in the second equation we assumed that y was the smaller number. Do you see that?

Take these nuimbers, add and divide then.. and sum up the outcome with an answer. I may be wrong.
Example .. sum this up..
1+1 =
