I may visit friends up north or spend time with family. We don't celebrate Christmas...EX-Jehovah's Witness...never had Xmas in my life and never will so I know how it is so try this....

1. If you make it KNOWN to those around you that you will be alone, then someone is bound to insist you come over.

2. Volunteer at a soup kitchen for a day. Very rewarding!

3. Go out for Chinese and strike up conversation with those that may be around because they may have suggestions. There is always a Chinese restaurant open on Christmas.

4. Rent movies and watch an entire Twilight Zone marathon.

5. Sleep alot (if you can, try to sleep through Christmas ENTIRELY!

6. Do catch up work around the house. Make a list of New Year's resolutions including what you can do for others in the community and make a plan.

7. Window shop (if it's not too cold where you live ;)

8. Read.

9. Hobby...puzzles, models etc...

10. Yahoo answers.

Finally, call everyone you know and wish them happy Xmas!

So: Flying autos, in yet another century. we are on the verge of understanding of gasoline this century, and it takes lots greater skill to push some thing around on the same time as keeping interior the air, than to push some thing around on the same time because it sits on the floor. while we run out of gasoline, and hit upon a renewable selection for it, we will in all likelihood be waiting to deal with the demands of flying autos that inhabitants advance will necessitate. "Visiphone"s are already in use on the instant. There are some 56k modem based ones (which suck, and basically appear as if a slideshow). human beings use webcams and microphones to speak on broadband continuously. the element that's protecting this 'technologies' back is that the communications infrastructure isn't there. telephone businesses are (for now) required to lend others the use of their telephone strains, and so no person desires to construct technologies for telephony, while the internet can render it ineffective. Holograms. the subject with holograms is that that's terrific created with a laser, yet that the laser desires a medium to illuminate. that's why you notice the greater "sensible" sci fi video clips with holograms projected on a layer of foggy air. that is not precisely hi-fi. And for modern-day verbal replace purposes, that is super that we are in a position to verify a image of a guy or woman, with out with the ability to communicate to the back of their head or see their baldspot. Moon, we don't prefer to goto, that is boring. Mars, the holiday time difficulty (of 0.5 a decade) is by using widespread propulsion. there is an ion engine that purely got here out, whether it's going to basically cut back flight time by using a few million/4, or possibly a 365 days. nonetheless not a visit to the back backyard. or maybe then, the skill for those fuels remains customarily derived at last from fossil fuels (the two in production of the engine, or of the liquid hydrogen/oxygen combination, or for the skill saved interior the ion engine). And we are approximately to expire of that quickly. basically, do not carry your breath for something neat, yet i might pass your palms that we don't all turn waterworld variety after the oil runs out.

I can't stand all the lazy people who don't write "Christmas" and no I'm not a religious nut. You don't even use a captital letter for Xmas.

I' feeling better now... now what was your question again?

Oh, now I remember....

if you are going to be alone that's a real bummer...... I have not tried it myself but why not help out at homeless charity or something. It would be an experience and you may meet some people.
