1. because it divided the India and area into two countries. Pakistan was to become the muslim homeland and India was for Hindu's. Thus a lot of people got stuck in places they were not welcomed. Terribile riots happened, hundrends of thousands died. The land was not split up well so the two fight over it still.
2. Africa was not to far away from Europe and was a very wealthy area for resources. Also they had a lot of slaves. vast areas to control and back then every European country wanted to have an empire so they tried to take over as much as africa as they can.
Number 3 and 4 i don't know.

1. To help govern it more effectively
2. Gold, Dimonds, Slaves, and Imperialistic Colonization
3. Through missionaries and by Constantine converting to Christianity, therefor making all of Europe Christian because eventually, Roman influence dominated all of Europe, and therefor the world.
4. Desalination of water is big business in the Middle East because all water around the Middle East is salt. Desalination costs a whole lot of money. Right now, water is more valuable than oil in most Middle Eastern Countries.
Those are my answers, I dunno what exactly your schoolwork is over so it's kind of hard to answer some of them because of the vast time period it could cover.

I assume that you do not expect a person to be both well informed as well as impartial on all topics covered in your question. So, my best advise to you is to get on Yahoo or Google search and find the answers that would give you a much better insight than anyone in this Yahoo community would be able to convey to you with fairness and clarity!.
Good luck and happy reading!

christanity was spread by word of mouth and by letters written by apostles of Jesus.they traveled and taught and new converts took it with them.but the greatesr impact was when they were killed by the roman emperors in the arena and refused to recant their faith and the people of rome were impressed by their willingness to die for their faith in Jesus.
