Try using another keyboard. If the freezing stops, the keyboard is probably dirty.
You can take it apart and clean the keys in hot water (dont soak the whole thing-I know someone who did) and let it dry overnight or use a hairdryer.
Wipe the inside keyset with a damp towel. It should be encased in plastic, if it's not, use compressed air. Make sure it's dry before you plug it back in. Make sure to turn off the comp to remove and dont turn it back on with out a keyboard.
Worst case, go to wal-mart and get another one. They start out at about $30 and go up.
All in all, the keys are probably dirty and one is sticking. It happens to mine once in a while. To be on the safe side do a free online virus scan at bitdefender. You never know.
Good luck.

Hmm.. Like the last comment said, replace it. But if you do not have the cash (less than 20.00 dollars) then try reinstalling the driver for that keyboard. Is it a USB or PS2? If it is a USB, try a different USB port. If it is a PS2 and you have a PS2 to USB converter, then try that.
Cheers!

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
