What is the best way to have this done? I'm afraid all of the hair will just grow in more and be more noticable. I'm not real girley, I don't even wear makeup. So as far as the eyebrows go I don't want anything too drastic. But after having a baby and getting older and all, I'm trying to find new ways to feel more feminine.
Any ideas? Personal Experiences? Thanks. :)

Even though you aren't "girlie", I'd recommend a Benefit Brow Bar. They're usually associated with a Macy's store - depending on where you are, there may or may not be one. I've been to the brow bar many times and always come home with great looking brows. If you've never waxed before, you might be a little red, which is why I like to go to the Benefit bar - they have makeup that will help cover that up right away! In San Francisco, a lip and brow wax will cost about $25.

Going to a spa/beauty salon is another option. Check MSN CityGuide for user recommended places. The editor's picks are a good choice too, but I think they're more expensive overall. Many spas will charge upwards of $35-$40.

It's a common misconception that the hair will come back more noticeable, but I promise that won't happen. A good wax should keep you mostly fuzz free for a few weeks, which is way longer than just tweezing! You'll have to pluck the hairs that weren't around when you waxed, but it's easy to see those strays once you have a defined brow!

Go to a professional and have this done. You cannot grow more hair after waxing. That's an impossibility. You only have so many hair follicles and waxing or shaving does not create any more follicles. You will find with waxing that the hair comes in really soft and much lighter with time.
When you get your eyebrows done, tell the esthetician that you just want a little bit of a clean up and some shaping, but nothing too drastic.

Well if you get your eyebrows done and you lip waxed the best way to go is with a reputible professional, then try to maintain your brows with tweezers afterwards. I am a plucker and I am very good at doing it myself, but not everyone can tweez their own brows. I really can relate to the wanting to feel more feminine after childbirth, I have decided to get my hair nails and feet done every two weeks just a lil something for me. If you can afford it, go to smoothsolutions.com they have a permanent hair removal service, I am definately saving to get my upper lip done. Hope This helps! Take care of U and the baby!

When getting your lip waxed, yes it will grow back eventually but probably not any thicker or anything then it was before. its a really easy procedure and usually your hair dresser and do it for you. as far as your eyebrows go, you dont always need a definite line. you can just have them done where there are no hairs on the under part of your eyebrow and on top, making them look better :)

I would definately seek a professional at a salon for both. I'm feminine and have never done either lol and never will. If you're looking to trim up your eyebrows w/o doing a diff. shape, you can just tweeze them yourself. It hurts at 1st, til you get use to it..but it's better than shaving what doesn't belong, lol trust me. I shaved the unruly hairs for years and just started tweezing..better results. I've heard diff. views on the lip wax..I've heard once you do it, you have to always do it..that it grows back darker. yikes huh? lol. good luck w/whatever you choose. Maybe all you need is a nice, new and sexy haircut. How about a day at the spa?

Well, I from experience know that waxing hurts, but not too bad and also it makes u look great. Just go to a beautician and ask about what they can offer you. The hair will grow back, you just need to keep getting it waxed (buy a waxing kit you do yourself or for your eyebrows, pluck them when needed). It helps, I know. Good luck

Well, I reckon waxing is the way to go, love. If ur to scared to do it urself then go to a salon where they have professionals to do it for u. They do it the least painful way possible. And u know what? The hair grows back lighter and softer and not thicker like when u shave. So unless u have heaps of money and want to go with electrolysis then waxing is the way to go :)

It will not be more coarse and if the hair is gone it will be less noticeable. I usually go once a month to get and eyebrow wax yet sometimes I can go two. I'm sure you'll feel alot better afterwards

A few years ago I went and had laser hair removal on my upper lip n even though it only partially worked, the specialist said that shaving will never make it grow back worse, n possibly even better, so i can only assume which ever method you use will work ok :) good luck!
