whats the best way to teach my 8 year old sister how to play kickball?

she knows the basics like running the bases and kicking the ball etc. I need to teach her how to catch bullet kicks, move to catch the ball, direct her kick to the open spot in the field, how to slide, and when to run and not run.

i cant take my sister to a game because theres snow and its freezing outside and the yards are very small where i live

we play in our basement

start with simple kicking exercises so she feels comfortable moving with and about the ball.

See if you can watch a game that others are playing to talk about the plays, moves, and examples of things you want to teach her, then go and try them,.....you can refer back to the happenings of the game.....she might be able to relate and do better.

Gather some friends and play. Give your sister a small role in the game.

By playing a game, your sister can see how everyone else does the basics. It is probably the easiest way to learn intuitive stuff like when to run. By letting your sister participate, she won't feel left out.
