A lot of my friends are trying out for cheerleading next year. I am more of the sporty type and don't wanna do that. I am afraid I won't be as popular as them. I know that that really doesn't matter, but to me it kinda does. Please help me with what I should do to stay popular wothout cheerleading. NO STUPID ANSWERS PLEASE!!

i dont think popularity has anyt hing to do with cheerleading. most of the popular kids in my school aren't cheerleaders at all..they just play sports..cheerleading can probably help ur popularity but its not the only way u can be popular..some of the cheerleaders in my school arent the most popular people in the school..the most popular ones arent cheerleaders

I know you want to be popular but popularity only last through high school. Once you get into college and become a professional it doesn't even matter anymore. You are going to have people who doesn't like you for no apparent reason. If their popular fine but if your not its not a reflection of who you are. I know it matters to you I didn't become popular until junior senior year it comes with seniority and respect. Be yourself and within time you wont need popularity to be the factor that values you.... You being you will be enough

Well i am popular at my school but i did not get that why from going out for cheer leading. i got that why from being nice to people and i had a lot of friends if there is basket ball and if you like it try out for that

Be yourself popularity is stupid. If you really want to be popular, dye your hair, wear what everyone else is wearing, like what music everyone else likes, act like everyone else likes. Dont believe me? Its the truth. Goths and punks and other catagories are seperate because of what they like. So you wanna be popular? Pick a crowd, confom to them, and dont like anything different then them.
Sounds pretty stupid now, doesnt it?
If you be yourself you have friends who like you for who you are, and I feel sorry for all these poor kids who have friends then lose them once they find that hidden CD or clothing or boy they like. Its pretty stupid and petty.

popularity is overrated...b/c you can lose it as easily as you can gain it...plus who wants to be a conformist anyway...dont worry about ppl just do what makes you happy...if you dont want to cheerlead...then dont, popularity wont last forever
