do all your homework when you get it assigned, start early if you can. go out with your friends on friday nights and saturday during the day, dont go out every saturday night, but go sometimes. spend all sunday catching up on homework. set dates for yourself -- time tables for projects, etc.

join influential and important clubs. you make tons of friends on sports teams because you spend a lot of time with them, but it can eat up a lot of free time. join student government, you make tons of friends and you can make a difference. also, music and art groups are good to be popular because you meet people with the same interests.

basically, doing your work makes you a good student, joining clubs and teams helps you make friends, and going out sparingly with the friends you make boosts your rep.
good luck!

No one is perfect. You can be a good student and use your time wisely or you can party all the time. Being popular isn't all it's cracked up to be. I'd go for the education. You can make friends later. In 10 years you probably won't even be in contact with the kids you knew in high school...

Just be you and if you are meant to be popular, then it will happen. But you could spend time in the library studying and forming study groups. It's a way to meet more people while you're learning. I met a lot of my friends that way and we still have fun. Most of the time, if you can find a common bond in people, then you can become closer. You can also get involved in sports or clubs. A lot of times you have to maintain good grades to be in those and you are still having fun around people, while they can offer you help in your studies. Good luck.

I think the question you should be asking is; do you want to pursue your dream? Yes, of course. Do you want to be popular with the other students? Just be who you are, focus your eyes on the finish line. Steer towards those with whom you are most comfortable. Don't overlode yourself. Concentrate on the goal line, the dream. Study hard; and always remember, every once in a while , personalities do clash. Heal the hurts fast and never lose sight of the -goal line.

join a frat, have four years of sex and still get good grades, frat house has all old exams for you to use so you don't have to study at all and just party to be popular, that is how frat boys do it, get good grades get degree by cheating and still have all the girls to sleep with, frat boy is the way to go, be popular, be slutty, be on the Dean's honor role.
