If so, when will this happen next?

No they don't. I'm assuming you're loooking for a straight line in 3 dimensions, in which case it can't happen because the planets' orbits are tilted with respect to each other. If I can find out how close they can get, and when, I'll post it.

The alignments of 2000 and 2675 have the planets close to each other in the sky *as viewed from Earth*, but they're not in a straight line from the sun.

Yes, it's true. Except for the aligning part. They aren't aligning. And the "cosmic energy" part. Alignment doesn't have any particular significance. There's no such thing as "cosmic energy". The way the planets affect us is via gravity, and they are so far away that the sum total of all the gravitational effects of the other planets is to raise the tides by 1/25 of a millimeter. Is that the "cosmic energy" they're talking about? Oh, and the "more natural disasters" part. There are no more nor less this year than any other year. If you wanted to see if there were "more" you would need to compare to other years. Instead, people claiming this just list the most recent earthquakes for example, without checking how many earthquakes there were in other years. So that part isn't true either.

You must remember that all planets are not even on the same orbital plane but in a universe of infinite time, anything is possible. However, for their straight line alignment you would have to put it into a astronomical model and perhaps your local observatory can help you there.

Yes, they do. This extremely rare phenomenon is known as planetary alignment. The aligning of all planets will not happen again until the spring of 2675. The last time this happened was in May of 2000.
