Brian Mac Millan was nicknamed "Buckets" in the South African team because his reputation of being an outstanding slip fielder. He was seldom reported to have dropped catches in the slips because he had hand like buckets.

In fact, Allan Donald quoted once that Buckets hardly ever dropped catches and in one particular match he dropped two in the slips. And Allan remembered that well enough coz it was off his own bowling. Otherwise, Brian had huge hands that never let the ball go through

Frank Woolley, who played for England and a fine allrounder never dropped a single catch in slips during his entire cricketing career got nick name of bucket

I have gone through the list of Nick Names of all Cricketers, but could not fine any Nick Name as Bucket given to any Cricketer.
