I started High School in 1980, so I wore the full range of outfits; from having my hair super-short and spiked in the early years, to having it in a long spiral perm at the end of the decade.

Acid wash jeans; tight pants with big shirts/sweaters; tight pants on the guys (I'm glad to this is coming back, it's nice to see what they're working with); big hair; punk styles; romantic/pirate look (think Adam Ant); the cut/torn clothes (think Madonna and Flashdance).

Well, a lot of the styles that I've seen recently are from/or similar to the 80's fashions. For example, the leggings under the skirts are from the 80s. I know because I used to wear them when I was in Jr. High School between 1986 and 1989. Wow, do I feel old!! LOL :P

Have a great week!! :)

Asymetrical haircuts (which I had)
Banana clips for the hair
Big Earrings (ala Go Go Girls style)
Black leather jewlery with metal spikes (ala Madonna)
Chain Belts
Charm bracelets and necklaces
Colored mascara
Colored/Designed shoelaces
Crimped hair
Cuff Earrings ( for those afraid to pierce their ears)
Doubling socks with different colors (which I did also)
Earrings for Men (left ear only)
Ferrari sunglasses that fold up (I had one of these)
Fingerless gloves (ala Madonna)
Friendship Pins and bracelets
Fringed leather coats and boots
Black hats... like Boy George and the Bangles
Leg-warmers
Mullett hair
Multi-colored hair
Plastic spring bracelets and necklaces in different colors (ala Madonna again!)
Ponytails on the side of your head (never did it, I hated them)
Ribbons as Belts
Roach Clips with feathers and beads (people knew you were a stoner if you did this)
Rock Band buttons/pins
Roll-on lip gloss (strawberry was my favorite kind)
Rubber bracelets (as many as possible on one wrist) another Madonna trend
See-thru purses made of clear plastic
Slap Bracelets
Swatch Watches (several at a time)
Teased hair
Trenchcoats
Twist-A-Beads
Vuarnet sunglasses
Woven thread friendship bracelets

Since leggings are back it is common and doesn't cause me to have that reaction. But leg warmers and shoulder pads sure do! Bright colors and big hair and jewelry help it out too.

Acid washed jeans. Folding the ends, rolling them up and wearing scruntched up socks that matched your top, lol.

Big, poofed up hair w/lots of hair spray. So much that nothing could bring it down.
