Okay......if it's all in how one uses the word, then is it "OK" for teens to go around calling each other "******" as if THAT's OK ??

If in doubt, don't do it. It obviously offends some by the answers you're getting here so it's best to not use it then.

No. Its one of the names they chose for themselves in the seventies and later found out it was a slur in the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
