I built a new desktop computer, this motherboard has an onboard video card. Initially, the sound was working, but after a few days, no sound. I reinstalled the audio driver, numerous times, nothing.

Open the sound mixer and see if anything is muted

Double click on the speak er icon in the system tray and make sure the Mute All option is not selected. You can also launch this by clicking on Start | Run and typing sndvol32.exe

Try removing the driver, rebooting the computer and let Windows redetect it. Make sure there are no multiple copies of the device installed. Make sure you also reinstall the chipset drivers.

There could be 2 problems.

1.Ur sound card burned
2.U turned off a setting or u muted ur sound card

go into the control panel and click on sound and audio devices, there you have an option to update the driver, or to adjust sound properties. click on properties,if it say,s device is working properly
then, all you will have to do, is update it, then configure the system sounds, to default, or modified.
