My birth control pills say that I should take my pill the same time everyday or else I might get pregnant. But lets say I usually take it at 8am but one day I over sleep and I take it at 10am. Or I have to run out of the house very very early in the morning and take it at 7. What if I take it at different times each day but with only 1 or 2 hours between them? Should I worry? Do I have a few hours leeway? I always remember to take it and never with much time after the 24 hr mark. How much do I have to worry about it?

So long as you're taking your pills generally within a 4 hour before and after time period, things are generally okay. I'm not going to say more than that, because other factors affect how quickly the pill is metabolized other than time.
Just a suggestion... there are other forms of birth control that do not require you remembering to take a pill everyday...
Depo-provera: one shot every 3 months, protects you for 12 weeks. Most people stop having their periods on this medication.
Nuva-Ring: vaginal ring about the size of your thumb and first inger made into a circle. It is flexible and the hormones are absorbed through the vaginal walls. Most don't feel it, it can fall out during sex, and can only be out of the body for 2 hours before risk of pregnancy occurs.
Ortho-Evra: patch that you wear for a week at a time. Has been known to fall off, cause skin irritation, and morning sickness.
Of course, every method has its pros and cons, and if you would be more confident using one of these types of birth control, please see your physician.

I have been on the birth control pill (Ortho Tricyclen) for almost 8 years now, and I have never taking them the same time everyday and I haven't gotten pregnant..yet, lol! I even have a bad habit of forgetting a pill every once in a while and having to pick it back up the next day!!
I think it's a memory thing, not for any real reason. If you had to be that exact with the pill, lots and lots of women would be having unplanned babies!!

It really depends on the type of birth control pill. Some of them you only have maybe an hour each side, some of them are fine for up to 12 hours late - the instruction leaflet that comes with teh pills should tell you what to do if you are more than x hour late taking your pill. If you've thrown that away, you can find another copy by looking it up on the internet,
I take mine at noon everyday - and keep my pills in my purse so I have them with me. I have an alarm on my phone to remind me, and one on my computer at work too.

depends on the ingredients of your pill. If it contains just a progetsterone (i.e., ONLY levonorgestrel or norethistrone), then you have 3 hours lee-way. After that time you're no longer protected. If you use a combination pill, then you have 12 hours. This, of course, is assuming you take the next pill at the normal time!

Usually with pills you have a 1/2 hour grace on either side, but with this where it is a once a day pill, I would not say it would matter, but do not quote me on this, ask your local pharmacist. Did you consider taking it at bed time instead? that way you will be awake and it would be easier to take...

i've read somwhere (i'm sorry i didn't remember the site) that when you take progestin only pill you have about 1 1/2 hours 'on-time', and combined pills 4 hours. meaning you can take it in between that time, earlier or later than your usual time and STILL be considered ON TIME.

It only says to take them at the same time every day so that you do not forget to take tem. It is to form it as part of your daily routine, like brushing your teeth.
