the marriage starts to go sour when communication stops. I have been with my husband for almost 10 years, and have been married for 8 and we are still just as happy, if not more then the day we said I do. We now have a family, have bought our first, and second house, accumulated family pets, and things that we want to pass onto our kids and everything else that makes life worth living. Don't worry about what might make your marriage fail, think about how wonderful it is. If things start to feel even a little off, talk about it and get it on track. think that number one thing that goes wrong with people is that they wait till it is too late to say anything is wrong to their partner. I am so glad that you are feeling the true love that comes at the start of the marriage. They say that the first year or two are the hardest, but that is because that is where all the big things happen. But if you get threw that, and I am sure that you will, things only get better.

It starts going sour when you expect perfection and when you stop trying and have divorce as an option. Enjoy the honey moon phase but get ready for some hard times. Marriage is not easy all the time but if you have the belief of no divorce you will have a more successfully marriage. Have boundaries and don't cross them When things get tough, just remember why you married the person and love them through there changes in life.

I don't think people mean to be negative at all. Your's don't have to turn sour at all - just continue working on it (both of you) and you should do well. There are many long lasting marriages, but there are now more failed marriages too. I blame it on urbanisation and on women who are now liberated, some "over liberated". You will understand what I mean in a few year time.

When you spend your life with another person, each might find themselves compromising too much of themselves to keep the marriage. Or it could be that something small between the two of you grows and becomes a big problem. It could also happen that the person isn't who you thought they were, either they hid something or you didn't know each other well.

When you stop having relations 3 or 4 times a week..and you each seem to have different opinion about what to do, where to go, who you hang with..which parents to visit during certain holidays..the list is on and on.. You will know soon enough.. Most guys will tell you right after he says I DO!

Marriage breaks down if communication breaks down. Keep the lines of communication open.

Communicate & Pray together . . . and remember to your vows... so many people are so blundered from the night previous to their wedding day; that they don'y know what they said.

There will be bad times, trust me! You did marry him for better or for worse and it won't fail if you don't let it.
