The last time I was in the doctor's office they told me they usually last from about 16 weeks to 22 weeks. At the time I wasn't really worried about when they'd stop, because it wasn't that bad. But now I'm counting the days to 22 weeks, hoping it will stop. Try resting as much as possible during the day. Sitting (not laying) helps me some. Good luck and congrats on your little one!

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I've been having pelvic pain since the end of my first trimester. I've been told everything from it's my age that's causing it to it's stretching pains to it's the circle tendon being pulled forward that's causing it. All I know is the pain is still there and is worse than at the beginning of my pregnancy.

There's a lot of debate out there over what's causing those pains. I read an article recently from a British Dr. on Pelvic pain (SPD). It was the first I'd heard of anything other than the circle tendon causing the soreness. The article lists every symptom I have so you can bet I'll be discussing it with my Dr. I'll include a link for information on SPD for you.

Well- at 5 months I had a few scattered pains (once every couple of days or so) but I cant say that they lasted for a week straight. Make sure you are doing your exercises (pelvic tilts, stretches etc.) and this should help alleviate the strain on these stretching ligaments and muscles. I am 8 months now, and still get scattered pains in the lower half of my abdomen (on the sides) which signifies stretching of the "round" ligaments. It probably won't go away totally, but it will subside... good luck, and congratulations (Dont forget the exercises- I swear by them)

I had those same "stretching" pains from 4 months to at least 6 months. It's awful, I know. I found relief by taking baths.

the only pain that you are feeling is that your baby is growing and yes it is going to hurt like hell. but just know that there is nothing wrong with you. at this month your baby is fully developed, and is getting bigger.
