My nails hurt?

I never bite my nails..but I cut them a couple days ago and like..underneath my nail hurts really bad..when i type..write..do whatever with my fingers..especially when i try to lift it up to see whats under there..and now today i noticed that it looks red like it's bleeding or something under there..just a little bit though..not like really bad...is it okay? has anyone had this before? or do you think my nail is infected?

Is there a chance you cut into the quick? If so, it will probably heal soon. If you're not sure what's going on, see a doctor.
