If I use my DEBIT check card at a register just as "credit" is it charging me more??

There is no charge to you.

A store would rather have the debit card because it cost them less than a credit card. There is a flat charge on a debit card while there is a percentage on a credit card. That is why you can get cash back on a debit card but not a credit card.

NOOO>>>>it just takes longer for it to get withdrawn...some places don't take debit so that is why you have that option...Be carefull using them because unlike a real credit card-your $ can take alot longer to be replaced in the case of fraud....sometimes up to 30days....

No, but if it's a large purchase you may be able to offer them raw cash and get a discount.

No, whatever the amount of the purchase is, that is what is deducted from your checking account immediately.

no, they can't charge you more... it's just the way the transaction is processed.
