Goblins, without the a doubt. They are nmore malicious of the two and would also be prone to bite, gouge, kick and other form sof a dirty street brawl.
Imagine it as a fight between the schools jocks and nerds, and you'll understand

It depends on whether you are talking about shiite gnomes or guerilla goblins.I'd have to say that the goblins might have the edge,but,it would probably come down to endurance and stamina and whether or not either side had access to modern strategic planning,etc.
