Depends on what kind of movie going experience you want. If you like to enjoy the movie by yourself in a mostly empty theater, then you'd probably want to go during a weekday. If you want to be surrounded and enjoy a movie along with a large group of folks, then nighttime or weekend would probably be for you.

Tuesdays...I often have days off in the middle of the week and our movie theatre has bring your own bucket night on Tues. They fill it with popcorn for 50cents and it can be any size. There are also a lot less people and few young kids so the movie is more enjoyable.

Monday or Tuesday, because it's empty and you don't have to:
-compete for good seats
-listen to teenagers text messaging each other on phones that beep
-be distracted by glowing cell phone displays
-be annoying by loud people
-wait in line for an hour for food
Other pros for these days are that since it is empty you and your date can snuggle up and not have 200 other people see you, and some theatres offer discounted prices on those off-days.

In our town, Wednesday is best because seats are only $2.50 and if you buy a large popcorn you get a large soda free. How cool is that?

Sunday nights- everyone else is either staying at home because Monday is coming or because Friday and Saturday nights were long nights.
