I'm just looking for stories of how women may realize that they are not attracted to guys. Also, how did you "bisexual" women realize you weren't attracted to guys anymore?

Yes, I know about the Kinsey scale.
And please don't tell me they just haven't met the right guy yet *rolls eyes and laughs*.

It took me around a decade to realise I was a lesbian. At the age of 12 I started liking chicks. These were famous wemon though. At the time my crush was on a news journalist and I thought it was just because I wanted to do journalism.

Then I got into the x files and moved from liking Mulder to liking Scully and I knew something was up. I had an inkling then of what it was like for gays and lesbians and I didn't want to enter that world.

I dated a few guys. I didn't mind because at least people were off my back. I never made love to one though and I never made it past 5 months with one. It was only through my workmate at the time that I meant a lesbian and knew it was right for me hehe.

The older I got the more aware I was of it. 3 years ago I decided to come out of the closet and I am still with the same chick. I came out because of her because I knew that we would last. It was like it was meant to be.

So I guess I had an idea I was gay but didn't realise initially, then I realised it and hid it, then I came out.

In general, most people know when they are young. Some, it takes years for them to figure it out. I know someone who suddenly had a crush on another woman after ten years of first realizing she was bisexual. So, typically people know from early on and they may supress the attraction because of moral values or religious and sociological views.

I found out when I feel in love with a women. Had been married to a man and had two beautiful kids. Was never as nearly close to my ex-husband as I am now attracted to my partner. Figured out that I really am more comfortable with a woman, at least i am with my partner!

I am a bi-sexual woman and I'm still attracted to men. At this point in my life tho I want to be with a woman. I don't know if it would be "forever", but we don't know that about any relationship.

I have never been attracted to a man, and I've been checking out girls since i was at least 11...there was never any question really, it was just a matter of admitting it to myself.

I figured it out when I realized that I was nothing but bored when making out with my boyfriends. I'd known that I liked girls for a while, but it took me a while to figure out that I wasn't attracted to guys at all.

Also, I think they smell funny. Even when they're clean, their smell turns me off somehow.

If one is never turned on or interested in males in any sexual way, but are with women. Then you're lesbian.

sad to say but my observation is that women can bounce back from being straight, to bi, or to lesbian, and vice versa. i know the l word is just a show, but have you noticed when tina was switching from one to the other? i have couple of friends who were lesbians and having boyfriends then move back to having girlfriends, and vice versa. it's just who you fall in love with regardless of gender.

simple...I am not nor have I ever been attracted to men, just to women (I like men, but only as friends...of which I have quite a few)...thus, I am a lesbian.
