Wow! Lots of questions.

Let me start with the easiest one - the fishing rods.

Fishing rods can break while you are fishing at peabody park pond. Sometimes if you have an exceptionally large item on the line it proves to be too much for your rod and it will break. The fishing game will notify you when it does break.

As for the membership card, that is for the Home Electronics Superstore. The cards are given out seemingly at random to store visitors/customers. I know people who got a card the first time they visited the store and I know people (like me) who've spent over 100,000 MB at the store and never been offered a card. The card allows you to access the members only area at the HES and purchase special members only items.
From what I understand cards that are purchased in Yard Sales are no longer working properly - but if you want to earn a card I would suggest you visit the HES every day. Maybe eventually you will be offered one but like I said it seems totally random.

There are two reasons for expensive things in Yard Sales - 1. People are hoping that someone will buy an ordinary item like a work for 9,999,999. I don't know anyone that would do that but it does not stop people from hoping. or 2. They are selling items that cannot be purchased in the stores and are considered "rare". There are many items that were in the stores for only a limited time (like the lava lamps) and are now very difficult to find. Because they are difficult to find the demand for the item is high, thus the price is high. There are also promotional items that were from old Mills contests (like the Choose Breakfast Challenge) and those items cannot be purchased in stores nor can they be earned any longer so it goes again to the principle of supply and demand. I know that the CBC trophies generally sell for around 1 Million MB and people are willing to pay it because they want that particular item.

Richter35 is my e mail friend. I suppose i'm beautiful definite men and women are simply promoting them and they do not paintings. I am even surer that they gave them away in a specified month so it would possibly not paintings after that. Srry that I do not are aware of it. But you're correct Richter35 is the satisfactory solution to pass!! GOOD LUCK!!!!
