Well, I've never had overly great nails but the last 4 months through diligence and care I've got the proverbial perfect 10--or should I say "had".

I snapped off the middle finger nail and as I've been wearing this killer dark Autumn Berry polish it looks really silly and uneven. My plan is to go back to a sheer pink and scrap my fantasy of christmas red this year.

My question is should I cut the rest down shorter to make them all match up a bit? Should I only do that on the offending hand? I would leave them a bit longer than my broken one but I am a bit compulsive and can't stand the uneveness of this.

Of all the questions I've ever asked this is by far my most embarrassing as I realize it's so totally unimportant--still I thank you for any help you can offer.

PS--I'm allergic to nail glue so that's not an option.

Happy Holidays!

Cut your nails down to make them even, nails don't have to be long to be attractive...they will look very nice...I just stop putting acrylic on my nails and trying to grow my natural nails like you , as long as you keep them manicured and short they will look pretty anytime.....I promise you will really get to like them. No need to be embarrassed, obviously it s important to Y O U, that's why I answered your question...Happy holidays to you also..

cut them all the same length or a bit shorter so they look even I hate uneven nails one of mine broke a week ago so I cut the rest down a bit to look more even I was upset but I'm OK about it now at least it won't look silly with one short and the rest long it's just a pain to wait for them all to grow again :( but mine have been growing long lately it only took me a month to get long nails.

i think if you like your long nails and REALLY want them all to be long then go get an acrylic nail for the one which broke...u may feel a bit foolish but the nail salon wont care... that way you can keep all your nails long and keep your polish and not have to cut them all off!!

don't sense dumb, i'm 24 and did no longer comprehend until a pair of 12 months in the past. initiate counting the day you get your era. Kinda looks such as you're cheated each week, however the cycle starts off back the day you get your era.

I would cut the other ones to make them all even and just wait for them to grow out again, it looks very tacky if they are all different lengths

I would file them all down to the same size... I know you hate to do that, but it looks so much better. Then you can use the Christmas red

well the only option left is to just cut them even

trim them so that they are all even...that way when they grow out, they would stay even...and you wouldn't need to worry about cutting some, but not others.
