any artist or groups have a style similar to ani difranco?

I'm not familiar with the bulk of Ani Difranco's work, but Kathleen Edwards first album, "Failer" has stuff that kind of sounds like the song "Untouchable Face" esp. the songs, "Hockey Skates," and "Mercury."

The Indigo Girls is the only group I can think of that is even remotely similar to Ani DiFranco.

no-one is quite like ani.
but if you like her, you might also like Jane Sobule, another fiercely independent (though 'girlier') soul. others to check out might be Utah Phillips, P.J.Harvey, Melissa Ferrick, Liz Phair, Veruca Salt, Angelfish, Nina Gordon, Belly, Throwing Muses....
