ok so i was babysitting a four month old and he was soo cute but then he cried for at least 30 min. i did everything i changed him , tryied to feed him,rocked him held him changed his clothes but he didn't stop crying un till his mom came back and then she left again and he was ok what should i do next time

sounds like you did everything right. I think the baby just wasn't used to you and it took a little time for him/her to get used to you and when he/she did they settled down, because as you said after the mom left the second time the baby was fine. I bet the next time it will not take near as long for the baby to settle down with you.

My baby gets like this even if I leave her with her dad for a couple hours. He probably misses his mom and the way his mom soothes him so ask his mom what she does to soothe him and use those same teqniques next time. It will put her mind to rest for sure as well.

I think the best person to ask would be his mom...maybe she could advise you better on what to do.
I would like to say that I'm impressed that you are thinking ahead and being proactive by asking your question--I hope my babysitter would be so courteous

It sounds like he has seperation problems. There isn't much you can do about that. It's just something he had to get over or use to.
