Is there guys like Hal? What do you think?

I really enjoy Shallow Hal! It's a good movie with an excellent message--it's not the outer beauty that's important but the inner beauty. I honestly believe there are people like Hal, and it's a shame.

not at all realistic. i don't think he would have stayed with her. even if he fell in love with her inner beauty. it's nice to think someone would, but i can tell you a lot of people wouldn't. she was not just overweight, but morbidly obese. and i'm not knocking 'fat' people okay, i'm knocking how Shallow our society is.
also bad make-up, you could tell Gwyneth Paltrow and the actress playing her mom were not really overweight because when they were in their fat suits, their hands were still really small and petite. i was really annoyed with seeing them, when someone is big, so are their hands and fingers!
plus, gwyneth paltrow is a waif and i don't like her. give her some food and maybe she'll be more convincing as an overweight person if she ate a pint of ben and jerry's.

the Movie was good.
worth seeing if you aren't interested in anything deep and just want to watch a simple comedy.
