I have been trying for a 2nd child for 2 1/2 years and nothin has happened i have bought ovulation kits and doing it at the right time.When i gave birth to my son(who is 3) i teared bad and had to go to theatre to be stitched becuase i had teared up into my cervix and in my bottom after which i got an infection.Do you think it could be this(maybe scar tissue in the way!) thats stoppping me gettin pregnant! i know it sounds mad but i'm embaressed to get checked by my doc.

There is a charity called LIFE UK who I think may be able to help you. They run fertility awareness courses and have had a huge amount to sucess halping women get pregnant. I would recommend getting in touch with them. Good luck!

You didn't mention your age, which could be an influencing factor. If you are in your thirties, you could also be having some fertility problems. There is also a possibility that scar tissue could be preventing you from getting pregnant. I would get checked by a doctor as soon as possible, also for health reasons - you do want to make sure everything is okay.
Don't get embarrassed: doctors see all kinds of conditions all the time, it's what their job is all about... :)
If it makes you feel more confortable, I would suggest that you go and see a specialist directly instead of talking to your family GP: you'll be looked at by a specialist, and also, what are the chances you would ever see them again?

There could be many reasons as to why you haven't got pregnant yet.
My sister decided she wanted a second child when her first was about 2 and finally got pregnant when her first child was 4 1/2, so it took them 2 1/2 years! (They had just started looking into getting tests done etc... to see why she hadn't gotten pregnant!!!).
You should definitely go to see your doctor, it could be something so simple. That's what they are there for, they can advise you much better than we can.
I have added a link for you, it's a site for people trying to get pregnant/who are pregnant/have a baby....... You may find some usefull info on there and could even ask them your question, much better as there will be people in the same/similar situation as you.

I'm sorry that you feel to embarrassed to see a doctor but you should think about when you needed there help the last time they were there for you. People who are embarrassed of sumthing usually have sumthing to hide and you should have to hide sumthin that you son gave you. If you would have got him out imagine where he would have been 2day. If you really want another baby you should speak to a OB/GYN. Good Luck

You should get a pre-pregnancy check up anyway! maybe your doctor can suggest some things you havent thought of before. It could be that scar tissue... if you really want to get pregnant again, put the emberessment aside and get checked!! also.. start taking pre-natals! They are so good for you, they suggest taking them if you are trying to get pregnant.

I had a friend who had cancer cells removed from her cervix. She later couldn't get pregnant. Had the doctor remove the scar tissue and guess what.... 2 months later she found out she was pregnant. Long story short... ask your doctor, it could be. Good luck

well im sorry to say but u need t oget over your embarressment and go see a doc so u can get checked out properly it could just be simple vitamins or mineral deficiantcy or like u said could just be excess scar tissue blocking the passage

If you are too embarrassed to get checked by your doc then you are desperate enough to have another child. But I will tell you what I did just the same. I stood on my head after sex (I know, sounds weird, but it worked, and I was desperate.).

Go to the doctor, you have too.. if you really want to have another child you will need the assistance of a medical professional.
they only look for a quick minute..
