From what I have seen from adolescents, 7th grade is one of the easiest and most enjoyable years. You should expect homework from every class except for your gym class and elective. Usually at 7th grade it's easier because there is not homework EVERY SINGLE DAY. Many classes don't give out that much homework, but oral reports increase and life get a bit tougher as you discover new things. Although, in 8th grade, school gets a bit harder. You have to work harder for your grades and then weekend homework comes in. Also, depending on what subject, you MUST get the material you are learning.

7th grade = 1 - 3 Hours
8th grade = 2 - 4 Hours

By 7th and 8th grade you should be doing 1-3 hours of home work a week for each subject you have.
For example, 6 subjects, 6-18 hours a week or at least an hour and 15 minutes a night. Some schools require more, some less.

It depends on what courses you take like advanced classes such as honors or GT(that's me=)) and the teachers.
In the seventh grade I had homework for math every night except for test days the other subjects don't (except for English then you have to turn in an major grade like tomorrow) put on that much work every once in a while for other subjects. In eighth now I have math homework EVERY DAY!!! but mostly the same for the other classes.

it will be hard at some points but it will be easy as well. It depends on what kind of classes you have. like advanced, intermediate, etc. advanced you will get plendy of homework, intermediate you will but not as much. and etc. just once in a while.

That depends on what school you go to and you probably will get homework in about half of your classes. It gets harder and harder as you go the next grade. Doesn't that suck?
