What I am really asking is whether or not V.A. Employee benefits require the employees to use V.A. hospitals to fulfill those benefits.

This is America...no one is required to do anything when it comes to their health...even though the insurance companies may try to make you think so.
Keep in mind just because you work there doesn't mean your a vet...and only vets can get care.

This is B.S, If you have a HMO you can only go to their Doctors

Because of Ins Co Paying Politics PAC money to cut their cost

If you have a medication that makes you sicker than your disease, TS you gotta pay for other meds

IE I have COPD: BC BS of NE will pay for all but $15 for Albuterol CFC MDI ; A MDI with CFC's I have a problem with, So I have to get Albuterol with HFA for $47.85 and no help from Ins co.

90% of the respitory drugs have barely minimum testing IE 24 people 14 to 35 w/o any other drug problems, and then given to seniors with other drug problems, Drs don't give a crap if you had a BP of 120 over 80 for 50 years and now you have a BP of 220 /180, They don't give a F if you have a stroke or ruptured arotea from high BP due to pulmanory drugs IMHO as long as they get their "Kick backs" from the drug companies they don't give a F
