If there was no production, the whole chain would stop. We'd all starve to death, unless you were remote and had a garden and hunting skill, I suppose.

If all producers are eliminated the herbivorous organisms would die at the second step of food chain and the higher organisms at third and higher stages i.e, omnivorous and carnivorous animals have to depend on other omnivorous and carnivorous animals for their food supply this kind of modification in food chain in not sustainable for log time ultimately all have to die.
