Why don't you try playing something with him? Those are his two options.....computer or television? No offense...but you don't exactly sound like parent of the year.

Well, what did people do before computers? We would play tag outside, kickball or some other game. We played board games or cards, and for the girls, Barbie just came out. On weekends my son would build models and dad would sometimes take him to competitions. My son built a slot car once and won the right to go to the regionals. So, of they went--the two men in the family.

My son would sometimes go to work with his dad and he grew up, learned the trade and is now in business for himself. Dad would help him build bird houses and teach him to use tools.

On cold days all the children would like getting involved in making cookies or doing crafts.

Tinker toys and Lincoln logs were a favorite along with building blocks with the children.

Hope this helps.
