The Ten Commandments say "thou shalt not kill", but many Christians have headed the call to arms often hearing it coming from the Pulpit. Whats the deal here?

The Ten Commndments were written to the Jewish Nation NOT the New Tetament Christians! We DO NOT live under the Old Law, but, under the New Law. It is still not right to KILL. It is a good question in my opinion. Is it killing if you have an auto accident and you are at fault in the death of another person? We are told that we are to render unto Caesar that which is due Caesar. When our government decides to go to war then we are to go also. I am not sure if I could kill another person. I might have to be standing on the sidelines peeling potatoes or something. BUT I do support those who are in Iraq. I believe that they are there in support of each one of us that is NOT THERE! Have a great holiday.

Because if you read the original Araimaic text it say thou shalt not murder. Killing in war is okay, heck, God had the Jews wipe out whole cities. Nice try at an anti-Christian troll tho.

If you actually read the bible and know about all the religious wars, you wouldn't be asking this question.
My heart goes out to all those that are deployed this holiday season. May they come home safe and soon. And know that this American supports all they are doing for their country and the country they are trying to help.

You obviously haven't read the Bible.

But I bet you don't want the ten commandments in a court house.

Read your bible, if you own one. My sister happens to be a member of the US Air Force and has been in Iraq fighting for our country. God bless our troops and bring them back soon.

this is true, but there are many times in the Bible when people are instructed by God to battle an injust or heathen group, and God allows war, and several times he order the complete destruction of a group of people.
