When i was miscarrying i did hurt bad in my back, stomach and side. I was so tired and weak also. I did have bleeding but not a whole lot. There were no clots in it. The blood was red to brown in color.
I did not even know i was pregnant until i went to the er just to find out i was both pregnant and miscarrying. I was 5 weeks.

I had my period already for that month and i thought when i had started bleeding again it was a second period. I bleed for 6 days but remember it was not alot , not even like a light period.

If you are hurting go to the er to be sure.

Symptoms of a Miscarriage

Reasons for a miscarriage:

Early miscarriages in the first trimester are very common. If you've had a miscarriage don't get discouraged! Try again; the vast majority of woman will have a successful pregnancy later on. For those of you who have had multiple miscarriages it would be wise to consult a Reproductive Endocronolist.

Miscarriages result for many reasons. Some of those reasons are:

- Sperm or egg could have been deformed or not matured enough.

- The lining of your uterus wasn't the right environment.

- You suffer from fibroid tumors or endometriosis.

- The sac and/or yoke may not develop right.

- Injury to the stomach area

- Hormone Imbalances

- Low Progesterone

- Freight

There are a lot of possibilities out there but try not to dwell on what "might" have happened. Sometimes things are meant to be. If you are one of those who have had a miscarriage I offer my condolence. I too have experienced such a pain.

Symptoms:

Now we all know that no two people are the same. We all experience different symptoms with pregnancy. Below I listed a few symptoms of miscarriage. If you've gone through such an ordeal please feel free to post your symptoms on our forum. You will find the forum topic here: Conception Forum

Now some say that they don't even know they had one because it was so early and felt like a normal period. Others can tell the difference. Here are a few and still adding…

- Sever sharp uterine cramps (stronger than menses cramps)

- Heavy Red bleeding along with pink stretchy tissue (NOT cervical mucus)

- Cervix pain (pulsing and aching pain with a few sharp pains)

- Sever headaches (migraine types) *Also due to other issues

- Nausea *Also due to pregnancy or bad food

- Pregnancy symptoms (i.e. Brest tenderness, nausea) will start to fade.

Having these symptoms doesn't mean it is 100% positive you miscarried. If you think or assume you are pregnant take a pregnancy test. If it is too early to test but you are having abdominal cramps with no bleeding to spotting it could be a sign of implantation. Don't take every symptom to heart. If you are pregnant and do experience one of the first three symptoms please go see your doctor to run a quantitative test. They will test to make sure your pregnancy is doing well and will let you know if there are any problems.

I had a miscarriage, and then a baby not long after, then another miscarriage. Considering I was told I'd never get pregnant, I considered that one a blessing. Two years later I go pregnant again, and we rejoiced and thought we'd never get pregnant again. Then #3 was born 18 months after #2...WOW! Then #4 was 15 months after #3, then 18 months later #5....we started thinking it was some kind of cosmic joke! #6 was born two years after #5, and number seven (we call her seven of seven) was born two years after #6. My SIL also faced several miscarriages, four or five I think, she stopped telling us after a while. She got pregnant about ten years ago though, and then popped out FIVE in ten years. So we're both quite pleased with our little blessings. I'm sorry for your loss, I don't know what else to tell you except to keep your hopes up. I never thought I'd be so blessed, and I remember those days of dread, every month of praying. We were total nuts during our pregnancies, especially since all of our miscarriages were after 12 weeks...far into the trimester of 'safety'.

With my last miscarriage in Aug.'06 I got bad cramps had some bleeding then at the end I had a feeling of bloating which ended oup being me losing the baby it actually took me a week before I full miscarried but my cramps were very bad at times your best bet is to go to your doc ASAP or to the emergency room as soon as you can sometimes bed rest can stop a miscarriage but it isnt always successful unfortunatly for me it wasnt but I ended up pregnant 2 weeks later now I am 16 weeks along and havent had any trouble yet...Good Luck and I hope everything is ok

I had those pains with both of my pregnancies, it could be your muscles stretching. My doctor told me that as your bones and muscles stretch and prepare for birth you will experience lots of aches/sharp pains... You also can have Braxton Hicks contractions which feel like cramps in your third trimester. Some women have them earlier than that as well.. If you start bleeding, call your doc right away

I had one hard contraction and that was it. I had a doctors appointment though and they did my pap with a wire brush. the doctor tore my placenta and that was that. I have never heard of someone having sharp pains a have a miscarriage. I have had sharp pains early in my pregnancy and it was just the ligaments
around my uterus stretching. You are probably experiencing this. Call your ob and talk to the doctor on call tonight. I wish you the best of health for you and your baby.

I have had a miscarriage. I cramped hard and a lot. I also bled. But during my normal pregnancy, I did have pains in my sides that they said were growing pains but I never had cramps.

Yes i had horrible cramps, I'd compare it to kidney stones...(if you've never had them... its like some one is twisting a million knives in you. very painful) and i passed alot of blood.. and some clots too..

It sounds like your uterus is stretching. I've had 2 and the pain was horrible, so you just take it easy.
