A male polar bear weighs between 880 and 1,320 pounds. Polar bears main prey is ringed seals.
An arctic fox has a thick, dense coat of white fur that keeps it warm in a brutally cold environment. The arctic fox is an extremely fast runner, faster than polar bears, and will track polar bears to their kills to steal a piece of meat to eat.
Penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere, mainly in Antarctica. They are preyed upon by leopard seals and killer whales.

Polar bears are most active the first third of the day and least active the final third of the day.
When not hunting, polar bears are often sleeping or resting.
a. On warm days polar bears sprawl out on the ground or ice, sometimes on their backs with their feet in the air. They may also make temporary snow or earthen pits to lie in.
b. On cold days polar bears curl up and often cover their muzzle area. During the winter, some polar bears excavate temporary dens or find natural shelters to stay warm. They may use these shelters for several months at a time.
arctic fox
A well adapted predator, the arctic fox has a gray, or blue coat in the summer and a thick, warm white coat in the winter. Its foot pads are also densely furred so that the animal can travel on the snow and ice hunting for prey. The arctic fox feeds on lemmings, voles, squirrels, birds, bird eggs, berries, fish and carrion. In the winter the fox will follow polar bears hoping to eat the bear's leftovers. The arctic fox has to be very sly or it will become the polar bear's lunch! Luckily its white coat makes it hard for the polar bear to spot. The arctic fox burrows into the ground or snow for protection from the arctic cold. It will create a store of food over the summer months and freeze it in the permafrost. Pups are born in dens every spring. The female fox has a litter of 6-12 and the family will stay together through the summer. The male fox brings food for the family and guards the den.
Penguins are one of the most well-known animals in the world. They are members of the bird family. They are birds because they lay eggs, have feathers, and are warm-blooded animals. Most birds fly, but penguins do not fly. They use their flippers for swimming.
Penguins are found in many different habitats, or places. They live from the frozen land of Antarctica to the sandy beaches of Africa. They live from the rocky coasts of South America to the coasts of New Zealand. Penguins have adapted to more habitats and climates than any other animal in the world.

A polar bear has two layers of hollow fur to keep it warm and to help it when it swims. They also have a bunch of little bumps on the bottom of their feet to keep them from slipping on the ice. There was just a show on the discovery channel or animal planet on today about polar bears and polar foxes. I would check out the web site if I were you.

Why don't you search on yahoo or google each and find facts that you find exciting? It'll be just as easy as finding ones here, and you'll have the citations for them.
