I can only see this happening if your coach is your father or if you two have a relationship equal to a father daughter relationship. This would allow him to be comfortable enough to talk to you the way he does. The outburst mostly come from confusion on what to do to give direction to the team in the proper manner without loosing your cool during a heated soccer match. I guess he doesn't really know how to sometimes. Always play and if this continues try another club with more experienced coaching. Nothing against the coach of course!

I'm a female coach, and I feel that I put pressure on some of the better players because I expect MORE from them. I also expect these players to be leaders on and off the field. The worst thing you can do is take it personal and let it affect you. All you need to do is work harder and be as positive as possible and don't give him/her a reason to yell at you.

He probably sees you as the leader of the team and blames you when the team falls apart. I would just ignore him, he musn't be a very good coach if he's singling out a player for the teams loss.

man, I hated when my coach expect a lot from me eventhough there are other plaers who can do the same job as i me. Like when i dont talk on the field, he threaten to take away my captaincy, while other captains didnt say a word. man if u have my coach as yours you would want to quit. he will not put uyou in a position you prefer. he puts me in c.mid and i kept telling him to put me on wind. really bothers me.

Dude this happens all the time.Teachers Coaches Parents. They like have backup plans. If you don`t do anything they`ll yell at you for sitting around. If you do something they just say you do it wrong. That`s how they work.

Just tell him how you feel. Remember, sometimes coaches pay most attention to the people they feel has the most potential.
