The Lions will own the first pick in the draft unless they manage to win a game before the end of the season. They will likely pick Brady Quinn,I too am a Lions fan but I need to get in my Millen jab....Calvin Johnson a wide receiver is rated as the best athlete in the draft (and we all know Matt loves those receivers). Forget about Troy Smith, he is a talented QB and will go in the middle of the first round...Brian Brohm will declare and the debate will be Quinn or Brohm (Brohm will likely go 2nd overall to the Raiders, he is this years Philip Rivers). So look for the Lions to go with Quinn or Brohm unless they win a game and slide to the 3rd pick then they likely go with the big Wisconsin offensive tackle (cant remember his name, it will come to me after I post this).

Yes. If they can get one of them. I suspect Quinn will be the 2nd or 3rd QB taken so he may be there when they draft.

The Lions need more than just a good QB, but Quinn or Smith will make them much better.

The Lions already have one of the best, if not THE best, wide receivers in Roy Williams. With a good QB, Williams will have to be double teamed on every play and would be the most dangerous receiver in football. This opens things up for the rest of the offense.

They also have talent at running back in Kevin Jones.

Their current QB, Harrington, has a QB rating of around 70 which puts him 27th (!) in the NFL. Pretty lousy !

A good quarterback will make them dangerous on offense and they should be much more competitive.

properly what must be relaxing for Oakland to do...bypass on Brady Quinn and JaMarcus Russell...take Calvin Johnson LSU and Steve Smith USC and Troy Smith interior the third round. confident Smith isn't a properly QB on the forums, yet you do not win the Heisman because you have not any skills, even with the actual shown truth that they are not all fulfillment memories. even with...the perfect in nice condition for them ought to probably be JaMarcus Russell right now because their offensive line isn't very good and Russell is a respectable cellular QB over Quinn...yet Smith...i do not comprehend, it type of feels staggering how a participant can fall that a techniques because of properly and dropping to Florida after doing so properly and earlier being projected so extreme...even with Russell as we talk

I think either one of these guys can help the Lions. If I had to pick one to save my life, I'd go with Brady Quinn. He's been playing for Charlie Weiss and his transistion to the Pros should be smooth. Sorry, but I had to... GET RID OF MILLEN.

I'm a Texans fan so I know how it is to cheer a bad team. Billy Sims and Barry Sanders couldn't save the Lions. I don't see much hope for them. Sorry for the negative feedback.

Don't go for the glamour pick. Teams that win have great offensive and defensive lines. Look at what the Jets did as they drafted two rookies in the first round. Gun to my head..neither will help behind a lousy offensive line.
