they have 4 working farms, in which Robina juice comes from the sandingham estates,windsor castle has Dairies, Balmoral has angus beef. The cornwall farms ( Charles place ) has organic farming and so on and so on.other estates and prperties do bring a lot of income in. Taxes are paid on all now.
yes, we Brits do pay for only CROWN PRPERTY.NOT PRIVATE farms. the lands on some are leased.

I have heard that at the start of Queen Victoria's reign, the Royal Family was nearly destitute; she was able to wisely invest and acquire Personal Funds. Likewise, subsequent Monarchs have been astute. So now they have comfortable amount of Personal Funds.

As for "how rich" they are, many include the Crowns, the Palaces, etc. which are "hold" by the Sovereign but which belong to the Nation.

The source of their wealth? Astute investments, etc.

Look up this website I found. She holds a total of 16 crowns.
But the most she is involved with is the British one. Britian had colonized Africa and several other countrys a century ago. Read it's history.

Ask the taxpayers of Great Britain. For eons those people have been kept poor to keep the Royal Family in the lap of luxury.
