Lately, all my friends are morphing into the ideal Middle Schoolers. They wear make-up, gossip, flirt with all the cute guys, and go shopping every week....literally. I don't like to wear make-up, I think gossip is wrong, no guys come near me, and I can't afford to go shopping like them. Because I'm so different, I think they're pushing me out. They replaced me at the lunch table, they find different partners on projects, and they don't talk to me in class anymore, they prefer the cutie guys! Please, what should I do?

Ok i know this is harsh but Middle school sucks, it is the clickiest time in your life. If these girls don't want to be your friend then you need to find some new friends that will appreciate you.

This is totally normal!!! I think maybe you should make some type of effort to be interested in the same things that doesnt mean you have to wear make up or shop a lot but you can go and not buy anything or maybe you should try talking to the boys more often beleive me it seems like the more "guy friends" you have the more girl friends come out of the wood work they want the guys to talk to them but you will always be the guys friend and the girls will want you to fill them in on the guys...I am not saying change who you are but try to start blossoming it really is fun to get pretty every once in a while and its ok to be a tom boy the hard part is staying friends with people who seem to change into totally diffrent people when really they are just trying to grow up. So stay true to you but maybe try to mingle a little too. good luck from a blossomed tom boy:)

You probably are looking for an answer from someone your age, but I will give you a perspective of someone who would be old enough to be your mom- hang in there, I was you when I was in middle school- I was not in the "popular group" either. I am so sorry to hear that some of your friends are leaving you however for what they think is the IN crowd. Be who you are, not what other people want you to be. I was always the one that wanted to please others, and doing that it was tough. Don't give up your convictions to please your peers. I know that someone will come into your life and be your friend and accept you for who you are. God is that person that is always there, remember that- I wish I had when I was in Middle School. Take care

either talk to them about the way u feel o find other friends if they're able to push u out so easily then they might not be ur real friends. im sure there are more girls out there ur age that are the same way you can make ur own group.
