We call it the American Revolution or American War of Independence. What else would we call it? Thats its name is it not? Contrary to what some (rather deluded) Americans seem to think, noone in the UK actually gives a toss about it. It happened nearly 300 years ago and is of no consequence to the UK in 2010. Its not taught in our history classes, we are certainly not in any way "cut up" about it!!! If you really think we all sit around on 4 July crying into our beer about "losing" the "colonies" then you are not only severely deluded but also a little bit insane. I'd wager that a good proportion of the modern day British public wouldn't even know what the American Revolution was or anything about it. I mean, I'm a history graduate but have studied very little American history and really don't know much about it - we tend to focus on European and British history in our schools and colleges and the American Revolution is not something which is seen as relevant.

...isn't Baseball based on Rounders?

Baseball: 'The consensus of historians is that it evolved from bat-and-ball games, such as rounders, brought to the continent by British and Irish immigrants.' Wikipedia
